Articles from the Public Domain = UNIQUE Content?  Who Are You Kidding?

                                                 Updated:

Most web site owners and bloggers know that quality articles on article directories can attract backlinks and traffic to their own blogs and web sites, making article marketing one of the best and easiest, also cost free ways to make a great living online.

But writing articles can be tedious and time consuming and getting others to create articles for us can be costly and there’s no saying we’ll like whatever articles we get for our investment.

The fact you might not like articles others create for you is one very strong reason to create all your own articles, in this case using information from the public domain.

But wait, before you rush to download millions of books, articles and other creative works from the public domain, let me tell you it’s wrong, totally wrong and very unprofessional to use public domain texts as articles for your own web sites and blogs and even more so for articles uploaded to article directories.

The reason is that most good article directories accept only original articles, articles that belong to you alone because you wrote them or they were written exclusively for you, neither of which describes public domain works that millions of people can access and use their sites.

So what good is the public domain to the article writer seeking backlinks and traffic from his articles?

The answer is that public domain texts are a sumptuous source of material to help Internet marketers create four times as many articles in the time it takes to create their own unique articles from scratch.

But that only happens where you use the public domain as a source of research material from which to pick topics and ideas to rewrite into your own words and in your own special style.

When you known how it’s done you’ll never be accused of plagiarism or breaching copyright rules.  That’s because there is no copyright in force for public domain works and plagiarism applies to copying another person’s work too closely.  Neither accusation applies where you’ve used public domain works for ideas and inspiration from which to write your own articles completely from scratch.
