Do This and Sell More of Your Products On and Outside of eBay … But Only If!

Today I decided to write a bundle of articles inviting readers to download my free report about running a local Internet consultancy and for them to ultimately purchase a course about setting up and developing their new business. 

These articles are free to upload to other people’s sites and they can take just minutes to write and lead to sales of £100 each and sometimes a great deal more.  That’s because over time even the least interesting article can entice hundreds or even thousands of people to click on a link at the end of the article that takes them to another site where they’re invited to join a mailing list for more information about the subject.  And that means if only two people out of one hundred buy my course for £50 pure profit per sale, that’s reason enough to write at least four articles every day, taking a few hours at most. 

Today’s articles were designed to take people to my ‘About Me’ page to buy the course direct from my eBay UK listings or from classified ads. on the .com site or, better still, to join my mailing list and buy the course outside of eBay and eliminate my listing and final selling fees.

In the latter case the idea is to write articles on subjects relating to products you can promote outside of eBay and to end those articles with a link to your ‘About Me’ page where visitors click through to an outside eBay site to join a mailing list and access their valuable free report.   Then you email them for the indefinite future and turn a good proportion of list members into regular buyers. 

Naturally, you can get people reading your articles to link direct to your outside eBay list building site, but using my method you’ll also attract off-the-page sales on eBay from people studying your eBay feedback and deciding to trust you without reading your free report first.

Okay, you’re right, eBay’s rules do say you can’t link to outside sites offering products for sale, but the rules are less stringent for links in ‘About Me’ pages.  Couple that by using an outside site featuring just your sign up page, without advertisements or product recommendations, and you won’t upset eBay.

To help get the best out of my proposed new articles I visited my favourite article directories where I often spend fifteen minutes or more looking at currently most frequently visited articles for subjects I want to write about.  The reason is, if those other articles attract so many readers, it’s probably down to keywords and phrases used in those articles, in body copy and titles, and those are the keywords and phrases I should include in my own articles to enjoy similar success.

So I started looking at other people’s articles about running a local Internet consultancy and found one that had been viewed 73,650 times since June 28^th 2010.  As I write that’s just over eight weeks which means the clever author is generating close on 10,000 views every week to an article that probably took less than thirty minutes to write.

But that’s where the good news ends, because the gentleman who wrote this hugely informative article has missed out on one essential way to benefit from all that regular free traffic – he has forgotten to renew the domain name to which people are directed to join his mailing list!

So now when those 10,000 people every week visit his site they’re met with a ‘No Such Site’ message. 

Which by implication means all of his hard work is going to waste, all for the sake of making regular checks on a site that could make him tens of thousands of dollars (or pounds or other country currency) every year –for thirty minutes easy work at most. 

So I want you to take more care than the subject of this article when you begin writing articles to grow your own hugely profitable mailing list.
